We are the controller of the personal information used to run Funky Detailing and fulfil your orders. Contact us using the details above for a privacy question or request.

Information we use and why

• Orders: name, contact details, delivery and billing addresses, purchased items, payment status and order correspondence. We use these to perform our contract with you, including delivery, returns and order support. Without the necessary details, we cannot fulfil an order.
• Enquiries: the information you send us. We use it to respond to requests before a purchase or, for other enquiries, in our legitimate interest in providing customer support.
• Records and security: transaction records, relevant correspondence and technical information such as IP addresses and device data. We use these to meet legal accounting obligations and, where applicable, our legitimate interests in preventing fraud, protecting the store and resolving disputes.
• Optional uses: where enabled, optional analytics, preference and advertising technologies use device and browsing information according to your cookie choices. Marketing email requires a separate appropriate permission; accepting cookies does not subscribe you to emails.

Who receives information

Shopify provides the store platform and checkout. We share information needed for the relevant task with our payment providers, delivery services, communications providers and professional advisers. We may also disclose information where required by law. Payment details are handled through the checkout’s payment services; please do not send card details through our contact form.

Processing outside the UK

Shopify and service providers may process information in other countries. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards, transfers rely on applicable adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards. How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as needed for its purpose, taking account of outstanding orders, enquiries, returns, legal record-keeping requirements and potential claims. We then delete or anonymise it when retention is no longer necessary.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of your information. You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already lawfully carried out.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you can object to direct marketing at any time. Email us to exercise these rights. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate your records.
