Beginner guide · Tyre care

Finish wheels & tyres.

Clean and dry first. Wheel sealant belongs on suitable wheel finishes; tyre dressing belongs on the sidewalls.

Before you start

Suitable wheel and tyre cleaners, dedicated brushes, drying cloths, tyre applicator and a separate wheel-sealant applicator. The finishing duo contains no cleaners or tools.

  1. Clean the right way

Allow wheels and tyres to cool. Choose cleaners that suit the wheel finish and tyre material, then follow their dwell, agitation and rinsing directions. Keep dirty brushes away from paint.

  2. Dry thoroughly

Remove water from the wheels and tyre sidewalls. Old dressings and remaining dirt can interfere with an even finish.

  3. Treat wheels separately

Use Poorboy’s Wheel Sealant only on wheel surfaces confirmed suitable by the product label. Follow its application and removal directions. Keep it away from brake discs, pads and tyre tread.

  4. Dress the sidewalls

Apply DarkSide evenly with a dedicated applicator to clean, dry tyre sidewalls. Keep it off tread and braking surfaces, remove excess, and allow the label’s drying time before driving or getting the tyres wet.

Always check the product label and safety data sheet for your exact formulation, plus your vehicle’s care instructions. Use the stated protective equipment and test suitability first.
